Rock Abbey Gardens is situated just 5 minutes from the small boutique village, Uralla in the heart of the New England, NSW. With over 4 generations of family owned and operated gardens, your secluded, DIY private wedding venue awaits.

Have your wedding the way you want! We have the flexibility of you being able to choose amongst the many caterers, celebrants, bar hire and more that the New England has to offer. We have a vendor catalogue available with local vendors we’ve worked with before but if you have a new vendor, we’d love to work with them too!

Rock Abbey Gardens, formally known as Rock Abbey has been in the Australian Open Garden Scheme twice, as well as many local garden open days over the last 50 years. With 70+ year old elm and oak trees planted throughout the garden, secret garden rooms and hidden path ways, you truely feel like you are the only people that exist.

Don’t worry about what time of year it is, the garden has been exquisitely planned to showcase the differences with every season. Enjoy the structure of the many established trees, bright blue skies and crisp surrounds in winter. In spring you can expect the cottage flowers and sweet aromas to fill your senses. Escape the heat under the vibrant green and shady canopy of the oak and elm trees in the summer time. Autumn really does put on a show with the abundance of rich reds, oranges and golds as the trees change colour to drop their leaves. You might even find the family’s favourite red and white toad stool mushrooms that appear around the pine walk as the cooler months arrive.
